A ‘Cupcaking’ Success in Gardiner
On a picture perfect day at Wright's Farm in Gardiner the 6th annual Gardiner Cupcake Festival was held and all on hand 'held' a perfect cupcake of a day...or two.
There was so much to do, from enjoying live music, to great food, to plenty of activities for the whole family the day had something for everyone, including sunshine and a cupcake at every turn.
There was also competition which yours truly had a chance to judge along with Vanessa from Hudson Valley Good Stuff and Melissa Esposito writing for the Chronogram. The 3 of us tasted and judged 27 different cupcakes in the amateur competition and I'm still floating on a bit of a sugar high...actually a lot of a sugar high. But I also was able to bring some BBQ home courtesy of the gang at Handsome Devil to kind of even things out. Fine, fine BBQ by the way.
My only disappointment was that I didn't bring Brady and Jackson with me as a lot of folks had their dogs along for the day. And some even had their rabbits.
A big thumbs up goes out to the folks who organized this event as it was obviously well planned, executed and damn delicious. A nod to Mother Nature as well. All in all I don't think you could have asked for a better day.
