It’s a film with a celebrity fan club. Moby, Toby Morse, Tony Kanal, and Kat Von D were just some of the celebrities that came out to support What the Health at the film’s Los Angeles premiere. Now, What the Health is coming to the Hudson Valley.

The one-night only event will kick-off with a screening at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday May 16. The Rosendale theater, which is located at 408 Main Street in Rosendale, will be hosting the latest documentary from the award-winning filmmaker, Kip Anderson.

General admission tickets are $8 and can be purchased at the box office beginning at 6:30 p.m. the night of the screening. All proceeds from the event will go to benefit the Woodstock Farm Sanctuary.

What the Health is a follow-up to Anderson’s documentary Cowspiracy. It examines the link between chronic diseases, such as heart disease, cancer and diabetes, and the big corporations that control food production.

The film searches for ways to help prevent and reverse the chronic disease epidemic that is plaguing our nation. The film is not only thought-provoking, but informative as it seeks to find answers as well as solutions.
