I am not really opposed to having casinos in the Hudson Valley.  I just don't think they will help the locals out as much as people think.  I have a good friend who worked in radio in Atlantic City for years.  He saw the casinos come in and for most people it didn't make life better.  The local shops and restaurants didn't benefit because gamblers stay at the casino and leave "on the bus" after they are done.  Sure it will bring some jobs, but it's probably not what we need to "fix" the economic problems of New York.  It will be fun for people to go, but let's not fool ourselves into thinking this is going to turn things around for most people.  Just my opinion.  You gotta problem wit dat?
