Driver Ignites Fire At Germantown Sunoco After Hitting Pump [VIDEO]

A Germantown Sunoco was damaged on Sunday, after a women drove over a gas pump which caused the pump to spill gas and ignite. The fire caused damage to the gas station which is located on 9G. State Police are investigating.why the pump’s fire suppression system did not activate.

Germantown Fire and Northern Dutchess Paramedics responded to the scene.

According to Germantown Fire First Assistant Chief Doug Pearson, a woman had been pumping gas, but as she was leaving, she ran over the pump, sending it into the corner of the building, causing the fumes and gas from the pump to ignite.
