If you're looking for some fun with the whole family this weekend then make plans for Saturday at the Dutchess County Airport as they celebrate their annual Open House from 9am to 6pm.

It's open to the public and won't cost your family a dime to stop by! There's going to be aircraft displays, demonstrations, educational seminars and plenty of activities for the kids. It will also sport a car, a bike show and it's newest event this year, Fire Department Muster, a Fire Department Muster Competition and Show

If you like planes you will love this at there will plenty of displays including vintage and experimental aircrafts, S-76 helicopter, Cirrus aircraft and airport fire rescue vehicle.  Angel Flight Network, Civil Air Patrol, Dutchess Community College Aviation Program and the Poughkeepsie Pilots Association will be on hand with plenty of information available and the FAA will present a seminar on “Proper Approach for Landing.”

Plus there are going to be free helicopter rides throughout the day!

Also fun for the kids will be K-9 demonstrations from the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office, barbershop quartet performances by the Poughkeepsie New Yorkers, building craft workshops from Home Depot, face painting and bouncy house inflatables.

While you're there they will also be offering assistance to Castle Point Veterans with a food drive so feel free to bring non-perishables with you.
