Last night there was a great crowd on hand for Music in the Parks and Bill's Toupee Band out at Vanderbilt Mansion. All you need is for Mother Nature to stop raining for a bit and instead provide a perfect summer evening for some free local music...

There are still some nights ahead as well, as Music in the Parks continues through August. Still to come is country from Stolen Heart next Wednesday at Mills Mansion, the James Osborn Band at Vanderbilt on the 30th and then in August you have some jazz and swing with the Bearcats Jazz Band on the 6th at Mills Mansion and then Music in the Parks closes out this summer in fine fashion, as it always does, with the U.S. Military Academy Band on the 13 out at Vanderbilt (this is a night that carpooling is definitely recommended and getting out there early).

Music in the Parks is sponsored by Rhinebeck Bank and it is brought to you by these Hyde Park organizations: National Parks Service, Hyde Park Lions Club, Town of Hyde Park, New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation, AARP, Hyde Park Rotary, Hyde Park Knights of Columbus, Hyde Park Chamber of Commerce, Mix 97-7 and 94.3/97.3 The Wolf.
