Haircut and a Drink? Barber and Brew in Cold Spring
This is another one of those ideas that I wish I had come up with. A barber shop where you can get a haircut and have a nice cold beer.
Barber and Brew in Cold Spring is the place to go if you want to get a new cut and sip some cold craft beer. "What about hair in your beer?" Well, you don't drink while they are cutting your hair. The beautiful bar is in the backroom of this Main Street Barbershop.
Hudson Valley Magazine reports that the place also does ladies hair and though some people think this combination of barber shop and bar is weird, you just have to check it out.
In case you’re hesitant about the hair/hops combo, co-owner James Caroll extends an invitation: “Just come in and check it out,” he says. “When people walk in and understand that it’s two separate spaces under one roof, they get it.
You don't have to get a haircut to enjoy the craft beer. The bar stays open till around 10 pm Wednesday through Sunday. If you're like me, you should probably get your haircut before you have a couple of drinks. I have been known to try lots of different styles, even without alcohol. After a couple of stiff IPA's I might just ask for a lime green dyed bowl cut.
