Once again, some nasty weather will be moving into the Hudson Valley.  The National Weather says, a line of showers and thunderstorms will develop this afternoon and move into the area into the early evening hours. Thunderstorms will be capable of producing torrential downpours. Those downpours could produce rainfall of 1-2 inches per hour.

With the heavy rainfall, the storm has prompted the National Weather Service to issues a flash flood watch for Eastern & Western Dutchess, Greene, Ulster and Columbia counties.  As well as northwestern Connecticut and western Massachusetts. That flash flood watch stays into effect to 9pm tonight.

The National Weather Service has also issued a severe thunderstorm watch for the following counties: Ulster, Orange, Greene, Columbia, Dutchess, Putnam, Rockland and Westchester.  That watch will still in place until 9pm for those areas.
