Highland Library Closes and Prepares to Move
The time has finally arrived, the new Highland Public Library is ready to go. They broke ground on the site in September of 2016 and now they are moving into the new building. The new building is much larger than their old space, which they have been in since February 3, 1930.
The library has now closed as they move from their old location to the new building on Elting Place. They will reopen the library on January 16, 2018 in the new building. The Clintondale Library will have longer hours now until January 12, 2018 because of the Highland branch being closed. The Clintdonale Library will be open Tuesdays from 10am to 5pm, Wednesday and Thursday from 10am to 7pm.
The new Highland Public Library has several events planned for 2018. First, January 19, 2018 will be a preview day for seniors. At 11am, senior citizens are invited to come down and get a tour of the new building.
Then, Sunday, January 28, 2018 the library will have a grand opening celebration and ribbon cutting from 3pm to 6pm. The public is invited to attend.
