It has been a cold winter here in the Hudson Valley, and according to weather reports the cold weather isn’t done yet.  It’s a great time to warm up with some hot chocolate.  What’s better than hot chocolate?  Free hot chocolate?  Then you’ll enjoy hot chocolate weekend at the Trevor Zoo in Millbrook.

January 26, 27, 28, the zoo’s gift shop will be celebrating national hot chocolate day.  When you come to the Trevor Zoo and purchase a mug, beverage traveler or stainless water bottle you will get free hot chocolate.  Plus, you’ll get free admission to the zoo.

The Trevor Zoo located in Millbrook is open everyday from 9am to 5pm and the mill is open from 10am to 4pm.  The zoo was established in 1936 at the Millbrook School and independent high school.  The founder was Frank Trevor, who was the first biology teach at the school.  The zoo has more than 180 exotic and indigenous animals, some 80-different species are represented.  They have nine different endangered species and takes up six acres.
