Imagine Mount Rushmore Made Out of Jerky – It Happened in NYC [AUDIO]

June 12th was National Jerky Day and Jack Link’s Beef Jerky Company built a massive replica of Mount Rushmore in New York City to bring honor to the day!

“Meat Rushmore” Memorial measured 13 feet high and 17 feet wide and contained nearly 1,600 pounds of beef, pork and turkey jerky applied to the base.  It took 20 people more than 1,400 hours to build the sculpture.

Meat Rushmore was on display in Columbus Circle for New Yorkers to admire and rodents to nibble.

Turns out that you can do lots with Jerky.  We had John Young on our show this morning.  His company makes business cards from jerky.  If you missed our very entertaining interview, here it is.
