Hudson Valley Summer Fun Guide for Kids
It seems like far too long to get here but the summer is upon us and if plans haven’t been made yet for the kids and the whole family there are a couple of resources below for you that can offer some pretty darn good ideas from summer camps (depending on availability) to programs/events.
Hudson Valley Kids has one of the most comprehensive list of camps, programs and events I was able to find and it is broken down by county!
A website that is all about family and parenting with plenty of ideas for fun for the kids this summer. From Yoga Camp to Science Camp to camps for the little ones this is a great resource. They even have age by age to choosing the right camp and a great camp guide.
The Chronogram has a great list that breaks down the camps into interest categories.
If you’re looking for nature based programs you can check out Wild Earth for the whole family from children to mom and dad.
Dutchess County Tourism has a great page of Top Ten Lists of things to do from Top !0 Hiking Trails to Top Ten ways to see Dutchess County.
Orange County Tourism, like the Dutchess site, has a great list of events that include some kids programs among others.
Hudson Valley Kids, mentioned above, also has a Facebook page that’s updated frequently and covers a great deal of the Valley if you’re ready to drive a bit but you can also scroll through to find some great event listings a little closer to home. How about a ‘The Spirit of the Butterflies’?
