It’s ABC’s ‘Shark Tank’ Meets the Hudson Valley
This Thursday Think Dutchess is holding their first ever "Innovation Challenge." The Think Dutchess organization is calling it the Shark Tank of the Hudson Valley. Basically, the challenge allows residents of the county to pitch their entrepreneurial ideas and start-ups in a competition that would allow them to win support for their ideas and companies.
If you want to check out the competition or influence innovation by voting for your favorite out of the top four semifinalists, then you need to stop by the Student Center at Marist College in Poughkeepsie. The challenge runs from 5:30pm-8pm this Thursday, September 14th. Prior to the pitch competition, light refreshments will be served and a networking hour will be held.
Tickets for the event can be purchased for $45 at www.eventbrite.com. Winners of the competition will be announced during the Think Dutchess Business Excellence Awards. Those awards will be held on October 19, 2017 at The Grandview in Poughkeepsie. Think Dutchess is an alliance for business that aids with the developmental needs and activities for business in Dutchess County.
