The thought of riding on the Hudson River may seem like a summer thing, but this weekend you have a chance to get out on the water for free. Yep, the Spackenkill Rowing Club is holding a free event going down this weekend. Oh, and they’re going to teach you how to row if you've never done so.

This hands-on rowing experience is for all ages and is 100% free. Yes free! This workshop takes place this Saturday kicking off at 8 a.m. The boats will be launched from the Hudson River Rowing Association Boathouse which is located at 270 North Water Street in Poughkeepsie. The workshop encompasses how-to's from coaches and athletes as well as rowing tank and ergometers demonstrations. Plus, there is even a chance to row on the Hudson.
