The Marist College Fashion Program has been recognized world wide with a Top 50 ranking from Business of Fashion, a leading publication in the Fashion Industry.

The fashion program at Marist College continues to gain notoriety for the high standards it sets in the world of fashion education. The school is considered one of the best in the country and now, in the world.

The Poughkeepsie Journal reports that Marist is ranked 38th in the world for fashion programs at Top Colleges. The school also is ranked at #11 in the U.S. by Business of Fashion. Marist fashion director Radley Cramer says that this recognition puts them in with the best.

"Business of Fashion is the go-to information source for the fashion industry, so it's a huge honor," he said.

Fashion majors at Marist have the advantage of being close to New York and many get to work at Fashion Week in the city. The school's Silver Needle Fashion Show, that happens at the Mid Hudson Civic Center each year is tops in creativity and production value. It is a professional style runway show that you really should experience.

Fashion is show business and show business is hard. Congratulations to Marist College for their global ranking. The four year program continues to expand and explore this highly competitive field. Next year the Fashion program will move into a new 50,000 square foot space that will feature cutting edge technology. Looks like Marist is headed for a Top 10 global ranking in the near future.
