Walk to End Lupus Now Hudson Valley
Happening: Town of Newburgh Recreation Department on Route 32, Newburgh

It's not easy to get up early on Saturday mornings, but this Saturday morning you're going to want to spring out of bed. It’s all because you have a chance to help out those who are suffering from lupus. Join the walk to end lupus now Hudson Valley to help raise money for research and support those who are suffering from this disease. Registration begins as early as 8:30 a.m. Saturday morning with the walk kicking off at 10 a.m. There are two links: a 2-mile Lupus Loop or a 4-mile walk around Chadwick Lake in Newburgh.
Boxcar Movie Series
Location: Motorcyclepedia Museum 250 Lake St, Newburgh
Happening: Saturday, October 7th, at 11 am - 4 pm
This Saturday the Motorcyclepedia Museum in Newburgh is kicking off their unique movie series. The movie screening, which is free with admission to the museum, will kick off with The World's Fastest Indian plus the original documentary Burt Munro: Offerings to the God of Speed. The movie series runs until November 28th with a different educational movie or documentary being screened. The Big Chocolate Show

Satisfy your sweet tooth this weekend with New York City's the big chocolate show. Happening in Manhattan this delectable Sunday treat is family friendly for all. You get an opportunity to meet the movers and shakers within the chocolate industry. Plus there will also be a live demonstration and classes along with chocolate awards. Starry Starry Night
Location: Upper Landing Park - Poughkeepsie 83 N Water St, Poughkeepsie
Happening: Friday, October 6th, from 6 PM - 10 PM
Enjoy the Walkway Over the Hudson like never before. Some could even say it is the event of the season when the Walkway over the Hudson is transformed into a starry, starry night. This event is taking place on upper Landings Park in Poughkeepsie kicking off at 6 p.m. The night will include food, wine, craft beer and decadent desserts along with fireworks. Mix At The Movies: Blade Runner 2049, The Mountain Between Us & My Little Pony: The Movie
It looks like it's going to be a big box office weekend at the movies when the cult classic Blade Runner gets its sequel set in 2049. This time around iconic cop Decker played by Harrison Ford is joined by Ryan Gosling, Robin Wright and Jared Leto. Blade Runner 2049 is set 30 years in the future from the first film. Also out this weekend Idris Elba and Kate Winslet team up for The Mountain Between Us, a movie about the resiliency of humans as they play people who survive a plane crash only to struggle to survive their injuries and being lost in the wilderness. Hitting movie theaters this weekend My Little Pony: The Movie is an animated musical fantasy film based on the television series, which was based on a toy franchise. The film stars the voices of Kristin Chenoweth, Michael Pena, Sia, Emily Blunt and Zoe Saldana.
