1. 2017 New Windsor Community Day
Location: Kristi Babcock Memorial Park 660 Mt. Airy Road, New Windsor
Happening: Saturday, August 26 10 AM - 9 PM
Happening this Sunday is one of the biggest fun-filled days in the Hudson Valley with New Windsor Community Day. Oh and by the way, this isn't your typical community day. This fun-filled day not only boasts free parking, but free admission. There will be a wildlife bear exhibit along with a full-size carousel, a stunt jump, a zip line, a giant slide, free laser tag arena, 30 ft climbing wall, rock ‘n roll, RC racing and different bounce houses. Also for a small fee, there will be helicopter rides as well.
2. Jazz Age Lawn Party
Location: Governors Island New York, New York
Happening: Saturday & Sunday, August 26-27, 11 AM - 5 PM
Looking to be a part of something fancy or maybe you just want to step back in time?Well then, head to Governors Island this weekend for their Jazz Age Lawn Party Spectacular. What better way to spend one of your last summer weekends than to shake things up and get fancy. Not only will there be throwback tunes, but throwback merchandise as well. 3. Millbrook New York Vino and the Beasts 2017

Happening: Saturday, August 26, 7 AM - 11 PM
Calling all Tough Mudders! Are you ready to put mind over matter? Do you want to challenge yourself physically? Well then, head to Middlebrook for their Beast Challenge. 4. Hey Stamford! Food Festival
Location: Mill River Park & Greenway 1050 Washington Blvd, Stamford
Happening: Saturday, August 26, 1 PM - 9 PM
Do you like great food? Then head to Stamford, Connecticut for a truly festive experience for your taste buds. This one-day family friendly event has some of the most revered cuisine in the area along with emerging talents. Food is great; enjoy live music with plenty of time for kid’s activities.
5. Mix At The Movies: Leap! & Terminator 2 in 3D
Heading back into movie theaters is Terminator 2: Judgment Day. This ‘90s film from James Cameron stars our favorite, “I’ll be back” terminator Arnold Schwarzenegger in this remastered 3D version. This account that tells the story of John Connor during his teenage years when a loan Terminator is sent back into the past to protect him during his formidable years in the face of the liquid metal, shapeshifting T-1000. Also hitting movie theaters this weekend is the adorable and inspiring Leap! This internationally produced film centers on an orphan who dreams of becoming a ballerina at the Grand Opera House in Paris. In this 3D animated musical, many stars such as Elle Fanning, Nat Wolff, Carly Rae Jepsen and Mel Brooks lend their voices to the characters.
