Happening: Saturday, September 30 at 9:30 AM - 2 PM
Taking over the Walkway Over the Hudson this Saturday is Out of the Darkness Community Walk. This walk is to raise awareness for those suffering from depression and suicide as well as to raise funds for education and advocacy. This annual event is hoping to reduce the suicide rate by 20% by 2025. This walk will also have free food, live music, and a dove release.
4. The 1st Annual New York Vegan Food & Drink Festival
Location: Randall's Island Park 20 Randall's Island Park, New York
Happening: Sunday, October 1 at 11 AM - 7 PM
Heading to the city this weekend for the first-ever New York Vegan Food and Drink Festival. This Festival will take over Randall's Island on Sunday kicking off at 11 a.m. Festival-goers have an opportunity to enjoy some of the best vegan cuisine along with plenty of wine and spirits on hand. 5. Mix At The Movies: American Made & Flatliners
Hitting the box office this weekend is Tom Cruise biopic, American Made. This true story sent around a pilot who leaves TWA to become a CIA agent. Also out in theaters is Flatliners which is a Sci-Fi psychological horror starring Ellen Page and Nina Dobre. This flick tells the story of five medical students who tamper with death as a way to truly experience life.
