As Marnie on HBO's hit series "Girls"Allison Williams (News anchor Brian Williams' daughter) has been picked on for her singing.

But in real life, Williams can sing really well, so well in fact that  NBC has picked her to play Peter Pan in their live televised production this December.

Williams released a statement saying she's wanted to play Peter Pan since since was three years old, so "this is a dream come true and besides what could go wrong in a live televised production with simultaneous flying, sword fighting and singing?"

NBC previously announced that Captain Hook will be played Christopher Walken. The musical will air December 4. This follows NBC's success with the live production of "The Sound Of Music" last December starring award winning country singer Carrie Underwood.

This announcement really shocked me. I was expecting them to cast an actor who could sing like Kristin Chenowith or someone from "Glee" because Underwood was criticized for her lack of acting skills...but Allison Williams?...I didn't even know she could sing!  Well she can!!
