Pet of the Week – 02/20/14
Meet Sancho our latest Pet of the Week from the Ulster County SPCA. He came in with Robin (Queen of the Cats as I call her) and was the sweetest, most curious guy who made himself very comfortable in the Mix Studio very quickly (thanks for turning off my monitors by the way). He was also just as quickly pretty darn comfortable being held by a Frankenberry who was more than willing to oblige.
At the shelter he, apparently, has stepped right into the role of the house ‘lobby’ cat after the two kits that were previously in charge of the humans were adopted by new humans to rule so you know he’s friendly, gets along with all and isn’t really bothered by much.
He is an older guy, probably 10 or so, who was brought into the shelter after, basically being abandoned and does have a couple of issues. One is that he is deaf (probably one of the reasons he isn’t bothered by a lot) and he also takes medication for Hyperthyroid.
He is though, such a lovable guy (don’t think too much into the apparent look of cat disdain above) who really deserves a new family to call his own. If you have a house he can explore and own, a soft spot, a lot of shoulder and lap you would have a quickly cherished member of the clan.
Check out the UCSPCA’s Facebook page here to see about a couple of cool events they have coming up including “Pins for Pets” and their 15th annual “Fur Ball.” Also, not to make you feel guilty and go “awwwww” (really intended to do just that) but check out plenty of pics of their lovable charges there too.
Here’s to the furry’s!
