Our Pet of the Week this week with the Ulster County SPCA was actually plural in the form of an adorable brother/sister kitten combo. They haven't been in the shelter very long so haven't yet had a chance to be named by the staff who can be pretty inventive with such. The fact that they made it to the shelter at all though was a small miracle so names can wait (the boy is the black kitten and the girl the tortoise shell)

It's one of the stories that none of us want to hear but happen too often. A woman with no heart on a backroad in Ellenville decided that was the place to throw four kittens and the mom cat out of her car. The small miracle was that a State Police Officer happened to be right there at that moment. Sadly, one of the poor kits one did not make it but the other 3 are now at the shelter. The Mom ran off into the woods but the folks at the shelter have set up a trap for her to try and bring her into the shelter as well.

Well with the kittens being safe we now turn to you on their behalf and on the behalf of the Ulster County SPCA. If you are looking to add some adorableness to the family and to yours and your kid's iPhone photos well, here you go.

If maybe you would just like to offer a little support to a shelter that does as fine a job as these folks well, that would be great too. They will gladly take anything you have to give from a donation to supplies. Find them at Facebook or at their website and let's keep fighting for the one's that can't protect themselves, especially from the cruel hearted.

Here's to the Furry's!
