With the weather being as dreadfully cold as it is we're continuing with our Pet of the Week via pics and bio info in an email from Jessica at the Ulster County SPCA followed by a post right here at the Mix site. Once the weather picks up we'll, hopefully, have the shelter and a guest in the studios with us at least once a month but for now we have these great pictures. Plus, I like being able to highlight every week, not just the great work that the folks at the shelter do, but a number of different possible additions to your family. Spreading the love ya know?

First off we have DJ

-Jessica Muller / UCSPCA

DJ: - Adult Cairn Terrier mix. DJ needs a very specific home. Although he his extremely cute he comes with some baggage; he cannot go home with any children and he must be adopted by an experienced dog owner. He has displayed some food guarding along with other behavior quirks that can be handled easily with the right owners. He gets along great with dogs and cats. Please call or stop in if you are interested. WE WILL ONLY SHOW HIM TO SERIOUS ADOPTERS. Once he knows you DJ is a friendly, outgoing, happy, affectionate, playful little boy that just wants to be in a home that loves him.

Next up is this really happy looking fella, Neko.

-Jessica Muller / UCSPCA

Neko:18 month old Pit mix. Very friendly, high energy, good with dogs, VERY EXCITABLE around cats, not evaluated with children. This happy boy is being housed here from Esopus Dog Control, please come in to say hello or contact us for more information!

Then there is the Mayor of the shelter lobby, Fargo (hey! stop looking at me like that kid!!)

-Jessica Muller / UCSPCA

Fargo: Male - 8 years - I am the big fluffy guy roaming around the lobby. Come find me! Before I came to the shelter I was attacked by some sort of animal who did a number on my ear. I am so glad that I got away from him and found my way to the shelter before it was too late. I really would like to feel safe in a forever home!

And then there is Sir Napalot.

-Jessica Muller / UCSPCA

Lou: Male - 2 years old - I am a nap-oholic. I am a little shy at first but if you go slowly with me then I will be your best friend.
