‘Royals’ and the actual ‘Royals’

So you probably know where Lorde got the inspiration for the title of ‘Royals’. If not, well it was from a picture in a National Geographic of Kansas City Royal George Brett wearing his jersey. Obviously the song has nothing to do with the ball club or baseball but seeing the word helped her focus and refine her song with that as the title.

Well, it was only a matter of time before an actual Kansas City Royals version of the hit. So this Royals fan decided to turn that indirect tribute to his team into a direct one.

So here’s ‘Royals’…the Kansas City baseball version.
