Blonde leading ladies Shailene Woodley and Blake Lively are battling it out over the same colorful print featured in two different but glamorous outfits. The Valentino fabric is a busy brocade that features purple, white, blue and red butterflies -- a difficult print for anyone to pull off, yet these two manage to make it work in their separate looks. But which star rocked the print best?

Shailene made an appearance on the Late Show With David Letterman in early May to promote her role in the tear-jerker film 'The Fault in Our Stars.' The actress wore the Valentino print in the form of a long-sleeved dress with a low waistline and pleated skirt. Her flirty pointed-toe heels look cute next to the stiff fabric, and the bright pink color works surprisingly well. She paired the look with a matte lipstick and carefully tousled 'do.

A few days later, Blake was seen leaving her New York City hotel wearing a double-breasted coat made of the same Valentino fabric. Though the top of the jacket, with its wide lapels and black buttons, seems a little stiff and heavy, the flared skirt is adorable. Not to mention her legs look killer below that short hemline! She wore the coat with a pair of glittery, color-shifting Christian Louboutin ankle boots that were a little distracting with her already busy outfit. (With another outfit, though, we think those booties would look amazing!)
