Imagine a museum without traditional floors, walls or ceiling.  That is part of what Storm King Art Center is all about.  You won't really "get it" until you go there and feel what it's like to be part of the canvas.  It's kind of the same way I feel about Dia in Beacon.

Hundreds of acres of land are used to showcase massive sculptures.  I know you are saying:"That modern art stuff is just not for me."  You might be surprised how zen you feel during a visit.  You realize that it's not just the sculpture, but how it frames the landscape that makes it all work.

What's really cool is that they are having live music and movies there this Saturday evening.  This could make for a unique and special date night!
