SUNY New Paltz Helps White House Campaign Against Sexual Assault
SUNY New Paltz President Donald Christian participated with other college presidents at a White House session to bring attention to sexual assault on college campuses.
New Paltz recently underwent a thorough Office of Civil Rights review of the college's policies and practices. President Christian said that the review of five years of New Paltz records did not find a single case of sexual assault or sexual violence that required further inquiry.
Sexual assault has become a major problem at college's around the country. That is why the White House has gotten some of Hollywood's biggest male stars to record the above public service announcement. It's good to see that our local schools are helping.
