If your a sports fan and have been to an event you know that the national anthem is played before the start of the game.  The Canadian Anthem goes first if the team that is based in America is playing a team from Canada, then you hear the star-spangled banner (or in some cases God Bless America).  From all the live sporting events I have been to, the ones who sing it the best in my opinion are the ones who are singing it for their hometown hockey team.  Some of the best (and who have been doing it a long time for their teams) are:  Lyndon Slewidge (Ottawa), John Amarante (NY Rangers), Rene Rancourt (Boston) but to me the best one out there is Jim Cornelison who sings it for the Chicago Blackhawks.  Watch this performance of both anthems during a playoff game
