The First 2018 Babies of the Hudson Valley
Welcome to 2018, and happy New Year. We’ve also got some new faces on the scene. Welcome to the new babies of 2018.
Let’s start in Orange County, where Keianna Vanderlaan and her family welcomed Jace Johnson just about two and half hours after midnight. Jace weighed in at eight pounds, 22 inches and with a full head of black hair. According to the Times Herald-Record, Jace was the first baby born in the new year in the area.
Nellie Miramontes of Monticello had the first baby of the new year in Sullivan County. Xavier Agosto was born at Catskill Regional Medical Center at 2:29pm. The Times Herald-Record says Xavier weighed in at seven pounds.
In Dutchess County, Hudson Valley News Network reports that a couple from Kingston had their baby at Northern Dutchess Hospital in Rhinebeck at 10:46am. Greyson checked in at nine pounds and one ounce. His parents Amber and Chris Cusano-O’Halloran wanted a Christmas baby.
Finally, Ethen Harden was Ulster County’s first baby of the New Year. Born Monday afternoon just before 2pm at HealthAlliance Hospital’s Broadway campus. The Daily Freeman reports, Ethen weighed in at six pounds, 15 ounces and was 20 inches long.
