Thousands of people packed the streets this past weekend for the Women's March in Woodstock.

There were protest marches all over the country on Saturday and the small town of Woodstock drew a very large crowd. This is the second year for the Women's March and it looks like this event will continue to draw bigger crowds every year.

Much of the protest has to do with displeasure over the policies and personality of  President Trump, but according to Mid Hudson News the organizer of the Woodstock march Annie Reed, didn't want that to be the message.

“I’m not going to go there personally, because that doesn’t solve anything. It’s just a bunch of negativity that’s going to make people angry; we don’t want to do that,” she said.

Reed went on to say that this is about Human rights and environmental issues. Her hope is that this gets people to vote. The thousands of marchers made it necessary to close down part of the town to vehicles. You can take a look at how large the march was with the video below.
